What Shopify Connector (India GST) does
Shopify does not split GST into CGST + SGST or IGST, does not carry HSN codes and does not keep the buyer's GSTIN. Generic connectors copy the order as it is, and the problem lands in your accounts: a wrong split is an error in GSTR-1, and an invoice without HSN cannot get an IRN.
This connector fixes each order on the way in, using Odoo's own Indian taxes and fiscal positions, so your GST returns and e-invoices start from clean data. It also runs the everyday sync (orders, payments, refunds, stock and fulfilment) with a visible log and a Retry button for anything that fails.

GST, done right
Place of supplyThe delivery state decides the tax: CGST + SGST inside your state, IGST outside it. Odoo's Indian fiscal positions do the switch, so the tax accounts and GST reports are the standard ones.
Totals match Shopify to the paisaIndian stores show prices with GST included. The connector uses tax-included versions of the GST taxes, so 3 × ₹899 is ₹2,697 in Odoo exactly as in Shopify. Any difference is flagged on the order.
HSN from ShopifyThe HS code on the Shopify product goes onto the Odoo product. A product without one still imports, and its invoice names the SKU that is missing its HSN.
B2B GSTINA GSTIN given at checkout is checked (format, state code and check digit) and the invoice is made to that business. A mistyped GSTIN is never saved silently; the order says why it was not used.
E-invoice pre-flightEvery Shopify invoice says whether it is ready for e-invoicing, and what to fix if it is not.
Orders, money and stock
Cash on deliveryCOD and other unpaid orders are invoiced unpaid. When Shopify marks the order paid, the payment is registered in the journal you choose for COD.
RefundsA Shopify refund becomes a credit note for the refunded quantities, with the same tax split as the invoice.
Fulfilment with trackingValidate the delivery in Odoo with a tracking number, and the Shopify order is marked fulfilled and your customer gets the tracking.
StockOdoo's free-to-sell quantity is pushed to your Shopify location after each delivery and on a schedule.
Reliability
Nothing missed, nothing doubledOrders arrive by webhook within seconds, and a catch-up sync every 15 minutes picks up anything a webhook missed. The same order is never imported twice.

Setup
Up and running in 5 steps
- Odoo: install Indian accounting (l10n_in) and set your company's state and GSTIN. Install this module.
- Shopify: in the Shopify Dev Dashboard, create an app for your store with the Admin API scopes above and install it on your store.
- Odoo: Sales › Shopify › Stores › New. Paste the shop domain, client ID and client secret, then click Test connection.
- Choose the warehouse and the journals for prepaid and COD payments, then click Import orders now.
- If your Odoo runs on HTTPS, click Register webhooks for instant orders. Otherwise the 15-minute sync does the job.
Tip. In Shopify, turn on "Charge tax on shipping rates". Under GST, delivery charges take the rate of the goods, and the connector flags shipping charged without GST.

Shopify Connector (India GST): questions
Is it a subscription?
No. One payment of US$199, with free updates for Odoo 19.
Does it file e-invoices?
Odoo's own Indian e-invoicing (l10n_in_edi) files them. This module makes sure the invoice it receives is right, and tells you when it is not.
Which tax does it use when Shopify charged none?
The product's GST tax in Odoo, or the default rate you set on the store.
Does it work for stores outside India?
The core sync works for any store in your company currency. The GST layer is for Indian companies.
How is it different from other Shopify connectors?
Generic connectors copy the Shopify order as it is. None of the connectors we reviewed handles the CGST/SGST/IGST split, HSN or GSTIN, which is exactly where Indian stores get GSTR-1 and e-invoice errors.
